We are very excited to have teamed up with Canterbury’s Historic River Tours and Eastbridge Hospital  to produce what is set to be the most unique tour experience that Canterbury has to offer.

Intimate evening tours now include a tour of Eastbridge Hospital, a riverboat tour revealing all the magical history of our beautiful city, a tour of the Franciscan priory  followed by the atmospheric  performance of the acclaimed play “This Turbulent Priest”, which tells the gripping story of Thomas Becket’s life, his relationship with King Henry II and the brutal death of Canterbury’s renowned saint.

As dusk falls, let Canterbury’s Historic River Tours transport you back in time to medieval Canterbury, to witness a powerful retelling of one of the most significant events in the City’s history.

‘This Turbulent Priest’ is performed in the beautiful Greyfriars gardens creating a ground-breaking and unique attraction for residents and tourists alike.

With captivating medieval music played by a local musician; film, television and theatre actor Paul Kavanagh and award-winning theatre director and actor Robert McCrea bring to life the conflict between Becket and Henry II which was pivotal in Canterbury’s history and made it the world-renowned site of pilgrimage that it is today.
